Recently, Khalid Farhan bhai uploaded a video where he said, “SEO is finally dead.”

What he said actually made sense. He gave real reasons and backed it up with logic. But to be honest, I don’t fully agree with him. Because SEO is not dead. It’s just changing.

If you read this full blog, you’ll get to know why I still believe there’s a lot left in SEO.

Information-Based SEO vs Commercial SEO

Let me keep it simple.

Information-based SEO is where someone searches for something like “how to start freelancing” or “full form of SEO.” The goal is just to learn something.

Commercial SEO is more like when someone wants to buy something like “best headphones under 5k” or “car insurance in Dhaka.” These types of searches have buying intent.

Both are SEO. Both are still working. But the way we use them is changing. Here why:

People Still Search

I still search when I need something. Sometimes on Google and sometimes on ChatGPT. It depends. Let me give you two examples.

If I want to know something like “what is SEO,” I don’t want a 1,000-word blog. I just need a one-line answer. That’s why AI Overview is working. It saves time and I love that.

But when I want to read deeply about something like “Google’s latest core update,” I need long articles. I visit multiple websites. I want to see real data, real experience.

So the intent behind the search matters.

SEO is Not Just About Keywords

We still use keywords. That’s fine. But SEO is more than that now.

It’s about:

Some blogs you publish may not get big traffic, but they help you build authority. That’s also SEO.

In the long run, that helps rank other content too. So, SEO is still there both information based and commercial SEO.

Platform May Change, But SEO Will Stay

This is something I believe strongly.

Tomorrow, if people stop using Google and start using a new AI platform, what will businesses do?

They will try to rank there. Business owners still looking for those who rank their website on that new AI platform.

It doesn’t matter if it’s Google, ChatGPT, TikTok search, or some new tool. People want visibility. Businesses want visibility.

So instead of calling it search engine optimization, we should call it search everywhere optimization. That’s the future!

Adapt New Things or Be Left Behind

People said SEO is dead when the last core update came. Why?

Because the same old tricks stopped working. Some people posted 40 blogs in a day using ChatGPT—but none of them ranked.

SEO is changing because user needs are changing. You can’t just write for Google. You need to understand what real people want.

If you want to stay in this game, you need to learn real marketing. You need to understand your niche deeply.

Just targeting one keyword is not SEO anymore.

Final Thought About SEO is Dead

I still see big opportunity in SEO.

But many people in Bangladesh follow big names blindly. If someone popular says SEO is dead, they believe it. They don’t test it themselves.

Let me make one thing clear, I don’t hate Khalid Farhan bhai. Not at all. I started my journey watching his videos. I even have a podcast episode with him.

I respect him. His content helped me. But I also have my own opinion. And after watching that video, I researched more, tested more, and realized something:

SEO is not dead. It’s changing. It’s moving forward. New opportunities are coming.

Those who adapt will grow. Others will quit. Up to you.
